The Power of Silence.

Silent, muscular and solitary, the Electric Eel glides almost imperceptibly through the waters of the Amazon and Orinoco. Its grace and precision are matched only by the power it wields, carrying electric currents capable of subduing predators and prey alike. The eel generates electric fields to navigate, sensing shifts in the marine landscape. Living in perfect equilibrium with its environment, the electric eel is also capable of great propulsion – leaping from the water at will. At X Shore, the electric eel is our inspiration. Nature’s design has given us all we need in the creation of a vessel defined by power, speed and precision; a vessel moving in perfect, silent harmony with the natural world. Just as no two of nature’s creations are the same, no two X shore crafts will share the same story. In time, they’ll navigate different waters and create unique experiences. Each X Shore vessel has a way of telling its own story: a sculpture, cast in bronze, of the electric eel, paying homage to our inspiration. Each sculpture oxidises over time, shifting with the ocean spray to reflect its environment and its story. Created by tattoo artist William Pacheco and sculptor Johan Johan Ferner Ström, we call this sculpture The Power of Silence.
