Ep 5: Technology
September 13 2020
With our X Shore craft, we are combining top-of-the-line marine and wireless Internet of Things (IoT) systems. This allows us to capture around 150 data points a second to analyse, adapt and upgrade the systems of the boat in real-time: We are moving from the electrical to the software world, which we need to enable services like automated and assisted driving.
This is the fifth episode of a series to show how craftsmanship becomes one with nature and the vision comes true.

With the Eelex 2021, we are combining top of the line marine and wireless IOT systems. This allows us to capture around 150 data points a second. These data points we use to analyze and upgrade and adapt all the systems of the boat in real time. The key to this is having a hardware platform that is controllable by software. What this means is moving from the electrical world to the software world. And this is the crucial step we need to enable services like automated and assisted driving. X Shore doesn't end with the boat, though.
The X Shore is more than just a boat. It's also a combination of services, smart accessories, watches and smartphones that are all part of the final X Shore experience. We hope to bring an improved user experience by offering features such as wireless unlock and smart man overboard, by using your existing watch and smartphone. This is all part of our vision to make our boats safer, simpler, and more enjoyable.
